Simple Homemade Spaghetti Sauce

November 26, 2012 by Margaret

Simple Homemade Spaghetti Sauce Ingredients: 1 can tomato paste // 1 can stewed tomatoes // 1-2 cloves fresh garlic // 1-2 tablespoon basil (fresh or dried) // 2 Italian sausages (optional) // Parmesan cheese // Olive Oil // French Rolls.  First, boil water. Brown Italian sausages. Once browned, add garlic and saute a few minutes more. Blend stewed tomatoes and basil in a separate container or blender. Add tomato mixture to the pan with the sausages and garlic. Next, combine tomato paste and Parmesan cheese. Stir. Prepare your french roll by cutting in half lengthwise, brush with olive oil and boil for approximately 3-5 minutes. While bread is toasting, add pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions. Cut 1 clove of garlic in half. Remove bread from the broiler and rub the garlic on the toasted side of the bread. Drain pasta, assemble, and enjoy!
